A) One tenth is equal to 0.1, so you do 830,000 x 0.1 to get 83,000 people.  You can also do 830,000 divided by 10 to get the same answer since it is one-tenth.

B) You can divide 5280 by 4 to find the answer of this one.

C) Divide by 4 again (because it is a fourth), but then multiply by three because the question asks for three-fourths.

D) A minute is 60 seconds, so 60 divided by 3 is 20.  Given that it asks for two-thirds, you then multiple 20 by 2 to get the final answer of 40 seconds.

E) There are 24 hours in a day, so divide 24 by 8.
