suppose you were made two offers by two people, a and b:

a’s offer: you make a statement (of your choice).

if the statement is true, i will pay you exactly $10. if the statement is false, i will not pay you exactly $10, but will pay you either more or less (something from $0 to very large, but not exactly $10).

b’s offer: you make a statement (of your choice).

regardless of whether the statement is true or false, i will pay you more than $10. which of the two offers should you choose (and why)? assume that both a and b are savvy, but fair business people, so they will keep to the contract, but pay you as little as possible.
