simplify
8^-4 means a reciprocal so 8^-4 means 1/(8^4) or 1/4096

8^9 is 134217728

so (8^x)/(1/4096)=134217728
multiply both sides by 1/4096
8^x=134217728/4096=32768
32768= 2^15 or 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 or since we know that 8=2*2*2 we can group the 2's this way  (2*2*2)(2*2*2)(2*2*2)(2*2*2)(2*2*2) we notice that there are 5 groups so 8^5 is the answer so x=5
