On the standard coordinate grid at minute 0
Ship 1 is at the position (0, 845),
Ship 2 is at the position (796, 0).
Ship 1 sails along the straight line to the position {1042, 0},
At the same time, ship 2 sails along the straight line to the position {0, 1091}
Both ships will reach their destinations in two hours (120 minutes).

a. Find the point of intersection of the paths of the ships.
b. At what time from the moment of departure (in minutes) each of the ships will pass the point of intersection of the paths.
c. At what time (in minutes after departure) the distance between Ship 1 and Ship 2 will be the shortest?
d. What is the shortest distance between Ship 1 and Ship 2? If the shortest distance is equal 0, it means that the two ships collide.
e. What will be the positions of both ships at the moment when the distance between them is the shortest?

We have calculated that
a. They will intersect at (439.551, 488.551)
b. Ship 1 will pass intersection at 50.620 minutes
Ship 2 will pass intersection at 53.736 minutes

Unfortunately, we are stuck on parts c, d, and e

Asample of 200 rom computer chips was selected on each of 30 consecutive days, and the number of nonconforming chips on each day was as follows: the data has been given so that it can be copied into r as a vector. non.conforming = c(10, 15, 21, 19, 34, 16, 5, 24, 8, 21, 32, 14, 14, 19, 18, 20, 12, 23, 10, 19, 20, 18, 13, 26, 33, 14, 12, 21, 12, 27) #construct a p chart by using the following code. you will need to enter your values for pbar, lcl and ucl. pbar = lcl = ucl = plot(non.conforming/200, ylim = c(0,.5)) abline(h = pbar, lty = 2) abline(h = lcl, lty = 3) abline(h = ucl, lty = 3)
