Plastic is harmful to ocean animals because animals could mistake it for food and eat it, they could get caught in it, so many things can go wrong. In fact, plastic pollution kills 1000 marine turtles every year!

Additionally, plastic is harmful to the earth. So much plastic ends up in the land and the sea. This waste just ends up going to landfills and harming the earth even more. In fact, around 60 MILLION plastic bottles end up in landfills PER DAY! Plastic like in these landfills can take up to 1000 YEARS to degrade!

In conclusion, plastic is extremely harmful to the earth and the environment. My call to action for you, is how can you save the earth from plastic pollution? Simple things like recycling, or picking up trash anywhere you see it can make a huge impact on the earth.
