So we start by replacing x with 1 so 15=3(2•1+4)-3
we start with the inside of the para thesis so multiply 2•1 which gives us 2 and we add 4 which gives us 6
now we have 15=3(6)-3
we multiply the 3 and 6 and we get 18
Now we have 15=18-3 so we subtract 18-3 and we get 15
