This is the better deal since

1st day: 0.01×2= 0.02

2nd: 0.02×2= 0.04

3rd day: 0.04×2= 0.08

4th day: 0.08×2= 0.16

5th day: 0.16× 2= 0.32

6th: 0.32×2= 0.64

7th: 0.64×2= 1.28

therfore this proves that the second option is better since the 1st option allows you to only obtain 1 point of extra credit a day whereas if you choose the 2nd option only on day 7 of choosing the 2nd option you already have more than 1 point and let's not ignore the fact that it will me doubled as the days go on. Therfore option 2 is definitely better.
