The GSS 2014 included a series of questions about what it takes to be a good citizen. Respondents were asked to be a good citizen how important was it to help people in America who are worse off than 555 yourself (HELPUSA) and to help people in the rest of the world who are worse off than yourself (HELP WRLD). Answers were measured on a 7-point scale:1 = not important at all to 7 = very important. We ran respondent's political parry (RPartyld) as the independent variable.
