Portfolio is defined as the assessment document in which skills and important information of an individual regarding certain field is organized such as career portfolio  contains plan of education, job and professional work.They contain thorough information in details regarding every subject.

Any student's portfolio would contain educational and academical work evidences in-depth.It would contain subject of achievement in academical area, performance in learning, progress in education etc to be evaluated to determine whether the academical standards are met or not.
