Proposed people were driven by the three innate needs of competence, autonomy, and relatedness.

Edward Deci and Richard Ryan - This theory was called the Self Determination theory. It was a theory that explained people' s  motivation and personality.  It explains people's inherent tendencies of needing to grow and it focuses on how much a person's behavior  is self-motivated and  self-determined.
